“The freedom to choose activities and have plenty of outdoor play was ideal for my daughter.”
“He had a blast! He never wanted to leave and was always super excited to go back!”
“My daughter came home saying she made lots of new friends. She loved all of the different materials to use for art and she loved her teachers! I love the way the camp encourages using your imagination and creativity, and learning to work together.”
“Both of my children loved camp and wanted to go more.”
Open Door Camps are a part of Open Door School and as such, are taught by ODS teachers and follow the ODS philosophies of Progressive Education and Positive Discipline, with a focus on conflict resolution skills and creative thinking.
Each day includes outside time on our beautiful shaded playgrounds, center-based free choice, open-ended art projects, and music. Progressive curriculum is left loose so that it may be adjusted to the children’s interests.
Camps are offered for children ages 3-7. There will be two classes each week, with children grouped according to age range.
All camps run M-F. Children will bring their own lunch each day.
Camps typically run all four weeks of June. Registration for 2023 will begin on February 6th.
